Goodwill Success
In 6th grade, Caitlin, a sister of four, found herself facing a bout with anxiety that would hinder her progression for years to come. After leaving the public school system to focus on her health and education, Caitlin tried to find different ways to get past the barrier she was facing. Anxiety had not only plagued her mind, it hindered her everyday life. In July of 2021, Caitlin and her mom came to the Goodwill location in Parkersburg. By coming to our Prosperity Center, Caitlin was able to take Soft Skills classes and a workshop that focused on overcoming anxiety. She also successfully completed our PTP program in Vienna; where she was later hired on as a full-time employee. Caitlin still faces frequent anxiety in her day-to-day tasks, but she has now developed the confidence and skills she needs to take on the challenges of everyday life. Congratulations, Caitlin!!
